About Us

Started as SDVM, (Sanatan Dharma Vedant Mandir) in the early 70’s the then vision of the founder’s to provide a venue from which all Hindus could enjoy our rich Cultural Heritage, the name of the Charity was changed in 1996 to MKHA. This was to make the organisation more accessible to all.

1. TO PROMOTE HINDU CULTURE AND RELIGION IN MILTON KEYNES AND ITS ENVIRONS

2. TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND RELIEVE POVERTY AND SICKNESS AMONGST THE HINDU COMMUNITY AND PROMOTE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN HINDU CULTURE AND RELIGION

3. TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES OF PEOPLE RESIDENT IN MILTON KEYNES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID RESIDENTS.

Over 40 years ago we had a small team with a dream

At the start of 2019 our dreams came true and we opened phase 1 of the community center / mandir for those interested in Hindu Culture.

Although we are enjoying our bigger venue by hosting lots of events we are currently also fundraising for the next phase an even bigger and better place for everyone to meet and celebrate.

A temporary Marquee – Silver Lotus has been erected in 2024 to help host larger events and fundraise for the next step of our community centre development.

As the world moves forward we are trying to keep you all up to date with our progress and current events and news.
